  • OMG First expert village video that was actually helpful.

  • The guys who wear chains/bangles on their arms look different. Thay have a different personality and they look less American ..ha ..ha..

  • Can someone PLEASE help me? I am taking photos with tungsten light which is 1000 watts and I notice that the room and wall become **VERY** yellow. So I plan on adjusting the white balance manually. Question: Do I take a picture of the white card under an **IDEAL** environment (like outdoor but under soft sunligt) or do I photograph the white card in that "yellow" environment? Please help. Thank you.

  • Fixing the exposure with raw can lead you to a loss of quality, while on the other side the WB is harmless. And I can decide LATER (in front of a monitor) if I want a warmer or a cooler skin-tone, even if I know my studio light very well :)

  • His comments are useful for beginners. If you're bored, hit the road.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA what a joke

  • waw... and now i know how to shoot a model

  • and it is for serious amateurs and people who are trying to be pros, so...though it is not for pros, it is for potential pros. so I think it is a bad route for people who want to work with models. If you notice the other expertvillage video are working in the studio with models! so this type of portrait shooting should be done manually. To be successful in the studio nothing is rushed or fast. Why wouldnt you do everything perfectly or the right way? cutting corners is a waste. =)

  • I never said I shoot exclusively in raw. I also never said I can get everything right. I can't. I am merely a student. I aware that the videos are not for pros, but if you are going to take the time to set WB, set it manually. It is the same amount of steps and buttons! its foolish not to. personally, I prefer shooting in TIFF. RAW can be great in unpredictable situations. I use it then or under instruction. I get your point about the video. I just don't think this method is smart or easier.

  • i said "if u need some adjustment ...". thats the reason y we shoot in raw, in case we make a mistake to our photographs. besides, this vid is not for pros, if u r pro u dont need it. all expert village vids r not for pros. expertvillage just ask the pros to share their knowledge in youtube for them.they shoot the vid from their workplace just to give impression that they know what they r talking about. besides, why u shoot in raw if u r very damn sure u can do everything right with your camera?
