Named after a hero of the working class, the Durban Kwazulu-Natal Moses Mabhida Stadium lies adjacent to the ABSA Stadium in the Kings Park Sporting Precinct - a site located in Stamford Hill, is yet to be another world class multi-purpose stadium set to make history in the making of the 2010 Fifa World Cup.
The iconic arch above the 70 000 - seater stadium was termed an engineering miracle by the CEO of the 2010 FIFA World Cup organising committee, Danny Jordaan. The highest point of the arch is 106m above the middle of the pitch and consists of 56 separate 10m pieces weighing 3500 tons. Are you retarded.Africa is a continent,South Africa is a country...What aid exactly does britian give south africa???????Britian is repaying other countries in Africa for years of raping and stealing from their lands..a few mosqito nets and food aid hardly makes up for it.Amazing how Africa was fine before the British INVASION and now look at it.After all you stole, you still in debt how pathetic, the great britsh empire cant even manage what they stole!!!!

You clearly have no idea how much money and exposure a football world cup brings into a country.yes we spent 3 billion on a stadium, but twicw that amount will come back from the games played and fans who will pump billions into the ecomony. Not many people know Durban overseas but after this tournament it will be on many more destination lists.Obviously you have no concept of business...YOU HAVE TO SPEND MONEY TO MAKE MONEY!!!!!!!!And what does the USA have to do with what britian did?

The uk wiped out African debt?the same UK that raped the land for thier own imperial benifet?the same UK that claimed ownership of land already run and ruled by the indeginous people?last time i checked africa still had debt and england had about a trillion pounds of it to.shame after all the stealing from other countries and they still cant manage their own finance!ignorance must be real bliss!

It's silly to build a new 70000 seater stadium less than 100m from an excisting 52000 seater stadium. Huge waste of money considering that no local soccer team will ever fill this thing. And looking at the latest 2010 ticket sales, it seems that not even a Bafana game could do that!
