to stop for a blue light.Goodman is being held at J. Rueben Long Detention Center.

11:45 p.m. on Highway 501 near Carolina Forest Boulevard. He says when
the trooper tried to stop Goodman, he took off.Police
say the chase reached speeds of up to 100 miles per hour as they headed
toward Conway. When they got to East Cox Ferry Road, police say Goodman
rammed the troopers car. The troopers car came to a stop at University
Forest Boulevard where it caught fire. The trooper got out of the car
and was not hurt.Highway
501 Business at University Forest Boulevard was shut down for about an
hour and a half, as Horry County Fire Rescue put out the fire and police
investigated the wreck.Police
say Goodman continued on Highway 501 through Conway. The chase came to
an end at Cook Road when Horry County Police stopped Goodman by putting
down stop sticks.
I didn't see the cop car get rammed. It looked to me like the cop spun out for no reason other than bad driving.
