I don't know how anyone could dislike this. True Americans would recognize this as a brilliant speech from an inspired man. Long live the true American spirit!

That's a REAL AMERICAN, a man full of patriotism, proud to be borned in America, took care of America from a to z and now we have someone that most like, he was borned God knows where and he's destroying America litle by litle, a socialist, a communist lover, someone who has increased our debt more than anyone, imposing laws against the American people and it's constitution. America SURE IS NOT THE SAME AS WHEN REAGAN LEFT THE W.HOUSE; it's a disastre: AMERICA, WAKE UP AND GET OBAMA OUT.

I admire this speech. But: I CANNOT WAIT for the Obama farewell speech in January.

What was the debt when Reagan entered office, a figure that caused him to denounce Jimmy Carter in the most opprobrious terms. What was the debt when Reagan left office? Same question but for the deficit. Reagan was just a more palatable frontman for the military-industrial complex that has ruled the West since World War 2. Remember the Reagan tax cuts? More than compensated by commensurate increases in Social Security Contributions and fiscal drag on tax brackets. No conservative was Ron

@oas1s2004 Please go away you moron! Ron Paul is a libertarian nutjob and would destroy any chance of recovery. Reagan was not a libertarian but rather a conservative who preserved freedom while maintaining order. Paul would destroy order. Reagan was very smart and candid at how he approached situations. Paul I remember said in 08 that he wanted a flat tax of zero. That is when I started to wonder if he had his head on straight. CON.

What a bunch of fools you all are. Just keep reassuring each other that Reagan was a great president. Feel good? Yeah, I bet.

Ronald Reagan, that shining city on a hill shone it's brightest when you were here looking after it!

I chose to present this speech in class today. Never has a president sounded like he was sitting in the living room. I wish we had a president like him.
I was 17 when he was elected. I had no faith in this country. I was disillusioned with Carter's handling of the Iranian hostage crisis and when Selective Service was reinstated I had all but packed my bags for Canada. Then Reagan took office and I began to listen. Then I began to gain hope. Then came confidence. Then came patriotism. This man taught me what I had forgotten: Love of Country. I remembered I cried my eyes out when this was broadcast. Thank you, Mr. President, for your service.
