So many videos on you tube have sparked my imagination and helped me in different ways so, with a little encouragement from my lady I decided to put together a little "step-by-step" on what seems to be like the "stairway to heaven" for bassists on youtube - Marcus Miller's "Power".

This is, of course just the way I approach the tune. Everything is open to interpretation, yes?

Thanks for speaking from the heart. Like many players (older) Double thumbing just wasn't my style and somthing I've started to pick up over the recent years. I really dig how you presented yourself and the lack of "ego" just goes to prove you're a real player who came up playing for the love of it. Much respect to you player. Thanks for the tips. I'll let you know how it goes.

  • blyss?,.. is that short for blyster?

  • I think it's good I can play it in time and everything and I'm only 13 but I can't use my thumb I'm still working on that r u slapping it for all the notes besides the opening chord it would be helpful I knew thnx

  • This is, at least one of the best, if no THE best, tutorial I've seen, because of the approach.

I think I'll get working on this HUGE challenge for me because I think maybe I can do it from watching this. Now time for part 2.

    Thank you sir.
