@jakeyboi857 I played stuff by ear. And had no lessons. Just played the song over and over till I get it right.

FAKE!!! WHAT IF THE CHILD DOSNT HAVE AUTISM?!?!?!
-
You should buy a better camera and make videos of him playing :D

Not all people with Autism can play the piano, do math and are exempted from doing english. Some have significant cognative issues that impact their learning, social and behavior. I would cure it in a heart beat if I could.
This young man is wonderful not only because he has Autism but because he has a talent and a gift.

@FenrirLupus couldn't agree more !! :) autistic persons are just amazing in every sense ! they have capabilities "normal" people just wish to have. but people want everybody to be alike... so they want to change what is almost perfect, into normal. Did u ever see Esther Hick's video on autism ? its amazing :) best wishes dear :))) Love u <3

Savant.

Amy, no offense meant by this, but understanding how autistic savants 'learn' isn't going to lead to a cure. It's less about learning and more about inherent knowledge of the structures involved. Your son has a complex, innate understanding of the structures behind this tonal music, have you ever tried having him listen to an atonal piece and seeing if he can replicate? His understanding of and ability with music with such skill is rule-dependant; similar to 'calendric calculators'
Who did you meet? Amy

If we could understand how he learned it then we could possibly cure Autism. Many of these children have the ability to do things that the "typical" person could never do. He has never had a lesson and twice we have tried and they don't know how to teach him. He learns simply by listening to the music and watching musicians fingers playing classical music on You Tube....He is gifted and we hope he can channel his crazy world of Autism into something wonderful.
