This video will show you how easy it is to repair cracks in drywall, plaster, or sheetrock. Stress Crack Tape is very simple to use, and you will soon see that anybody regardless of their skill set can repair their stress cracks. This video will demonstrate repairing a crack on a textured wall, and will show you how to texture your repair with SprayTex aerosol texture to match your wall surface. Stress Crack Tape is patented and 100% US made. Stress Crack Tape is sold in packs nationally at Sherwin Williams (item number 972-6605), and the roll product is sold online at www.homedepot.com. Stress Crack Tape is manufactured by StepSaver Products of Vancouver, WA. Stress Crack Tape is a trade mark of Jerry Brower & Energy Saver Products Inc (StepSaver Products).

  • Went to the Home Depot and when I ask if they had "stress crack tape", they looked at me like I didn't know what I was talking about.

  • We appreciate your interest in our products. The Home Depot does not carry the Stress Crack Tape product. They do however have our Fast Patch product in textured in their textured region stores. Yes they should have the Stress Crack Tape product, as it is by far our best product. It is sold at Sherwin Williams paint stores though.

  • David, yes it is designed for Mrs. Jones, and everyone else that is interested in solving the problem. Please explain to all what the right way is, I assume that it will result in a rigid repair that will crack out again. So if you are interested in doing the repair the right way according to David....we would be happy to sell you our patented US made product after it cracks out again.

No the product is not Tape, it is manufactured on a patented material.

  • Making the crack disappear was what we intended.

  • Lol ive seen some redneck jobs in my life but this is the best!

  • so basically u put a scotch tape on crack... this is a realy shitty repair.

  • Thanks for your tips. Tell me should I fill in the crack first? We have a 3/16" stress crack in the bedroom which I need to fix.

  • been doing drywall for over 30 years and I repair what you call stress cracks. ur way leaves ridges and just looks bad and after awhile starts to come apart, what no floating?. I won't use either of these products professionally. There's a lot of people doing drywall to save money but just passing the problem on to the next person. Come on people stop taking short-cuts, do the job right.

  • Great item. USA Made...nice to see

  • Stress Crack Tape works well on plaster ceilings and walls. The key is to press firmly outside of the damaged area. Plus it will span the gap of larger cracks as well without any problems. Nice to see products still being made in the USA.

  • Will this work on a plaster ceiling ?? It looks like it would be a temporary fix - the ceiling I need work on is on the first floor and I am concerned that with walking above it , this won;t last . Is it made to be a permanent fix ? Thanks - I sure hope so because it looks SO easy I could do it myself .

  • what is the full name of the sray please?

  • easy

  • why would i want this on a regular wall instead of meshtape and mud? This seems only useful in this situation with texture. If you have texture and that exact problem i guess its a great product.
