For students of English as a Foreign Language. The topic of this lesson is the British celebration of Bonfire Night. What happens to Guy Fawkes every November 5th?
Probably should point out that children don't spend their penny for the guy money on fireworks any more, as this is now illegal. You need to be 18 to buy fireworks, or even be in possession of them in a public place.
A bunfire is when a bun {a small bread roll, often sweet in taste} is on fire, this often happens when left near a naked flame on the fifth of November.
@tvargan Well that's just a lie - community bonfires still happen all over the place. Excellent bit of unprovoked xenophobia though.

Also, community bonfires are a thing of the past, generally due to "health and safety reasons" ...
Shame, as it was a nice community tradition.
Soon we will be enjoying the traditions of being mebers of EU zone 36B.
