  • Weather it be Japan (JWA, AJPW & NJPW), The AWA, NWA, or WCCW. From 1899-1992, this is back when the SPORT of wrestling actualy meant something & wrestlers actualy earned the right be called Legends. O'Connor & Rikidozan, two of the best to have ever stepped into the ring.

  • Thanks so much for posting this classic footage! Embarrassingly enough, I'm just now starting to get a sense of what a great wrestler Pat O' Connor was.

  • Two great legends thanks

  • Fred Atkins is the ref here.

  • i think it's great how american wrestlers put rikidozan over, it really legitimized japanese wrestling ... it's so clear here that o'connor was rikidozan's superior, his speed & reflex were so great he actually had 2 slow down 4 rikidozan n this match ... i also like the way baby faces became heels whenever they wrestled over n japan, pat o'connor wrestling heel is the equivalent 2 some1 like rick steamboat wrestling heel, LOL, who da' thunk it? ha, ha

  • I wonder if there is a complete version of this match. It's edited so heavily you can't really tell what's going on

  • Pat O'Connor was the man

  • Thank you so much for tjis footage. It is strange to see Pat O'Connor as the heel because he was always the face here in St. Louis. Of course being part owner of the promotion helped.

  • Armandroh, if u think this was great (& it was) go on my channel, i have a match with Verne Gagne vs. Red Bastien, it is 1 of the most incredible displays of scientific wrestling i've ever witnessed, not 1 kick or punch thrown! Check it out, it's a must 4 pure wrestling fans.

  • O'Connor wasn't an American.

    He was a New Zealander.
