This is a short clip. The entire video is 45 min. For more details go to http://www.militaryvideo.com/store/st... This video documents the tragic fire aboard Enterprise (CVAN-65) in January 1969. The first part of the video is a Navy training film titled "Accidents Don't Just Happen." This narrated film (approximately 10 minutes) compares and contrasts the causes and events leading up to the Oriskany fire in 1966, Forrestal fire in 1967 and Enterprise fire in 1969. The remainder of the video is not narrated (music soundtrack); and is divided into four parts: activity on Enterprise's flight deck in July 1968, firefighting efforts by sailors aboard Enterprise in January 1969, the aftermath of the fire and damage assessment, and Enterprise's subsequent return to Pearl Harbor.

Guys, I'm so sorry! I remember the Forrestal accident vividly, and in the video, it shows the aft deck of the Forrestal. Are there two clips intermingled here?
At 0:37 the shot is of the aft looking forward at the Forestals island! The upper island of the Enterprise is very square. WOW! so my bad, really sorry guys, didn't even know that the big E had had a fire too. Shit never ceases to amaze me!
Forrestal accident! Enterprise NEVER had a devastating deck fire. Someone here has pumped the mutt. Also notice the island @ 0:36. THIS IS NOT THE DECK OF BIG E! This is the Forrestal!
Sakoshooter.. There was an Explosion on the Enterprise that killed alot of sailors and if you would watch at 0:58 the back of the ship has ENTERPRISE written on it
At 25 seconds into the video we see what appears to be two gun turrets trained aft. I know that when the Forrestal-class carriers were orginally launched, and for many years afterwards, they initially were equipped with (if memory serves correctly) 8 5"54 dp guns, each housed in its own turret, 4 guns on each side of the ship. Enterprise was never equipped with such armaments.
