  • They should practice more because some parts of the dance are not synchronized.

  • Oh I know, please bear in mind that these are all volunteers and are not professionals, we do this for fun but are very proud to showcase our heritage to Canada and the world. They are mostly high school and university students who are 2nd generation Filipinos.

  • It's actually called a Manton de Manila.

  • I understand, but this is our group's interpretation. Thanks for your input.

  • Is it really Manton de Manila? or rather Mantones de Seda?

  • Nice reinterpretation. BTW, the rondalla needs additional oktabina and guitar. The music has the high pitch hanging.

  • Hi FFDT! I actually met some of your members at Filipinos Making Waves in Toronto. I dance with LIKHA and it was nice to meet some fellow folk artists...great video, nice to see your work!
