basically SP dramas are drama but usually just have one episode. It's like a movie, only shown in the usual tv air time. Sp Dramas are short for special dramas.

Also, even the usual 10 episode dramas has an SP (sort of like an epiloge/prologue of the main drama) and are usually aired days, weeks or months after the drama was shown. :3
