To avoid dry firing my sigma while trying to get used to the heavy trigger pull I use these snap caps.

Bought 5 of them on eBay for about 15 bux.

To carry or not to carry... that is the questions: Considering getting your first hand gun? Thinking of getting your concealed carry permit? Not sure where to start? Check out http://www.30DaysofConcealment.com to see my journey and I'll take you step by step.

As part of my "experiment" I'm going to buy my first gun, get a concealed carry permit and see what it's like to carry a gun on my 24/7 for 30 days and report back to you!

  • I mean GunsmithUSA

  • Just look up Sigma trigger fix and you can change it to about a 4-6 lb pull instead of 8-12 lb pull. Make sure you watch GunsmithingUSA video because thats the most simple video.

  • (Puts wrong bullet in) oh god

  • 1. This gun requires you to dry fire it to be cleaned.

    2. Its striker fired action.

    3. S&W website says its ok to dry fire.

  • You can dry fire Smith and Wesson pistols just fine, except for .22 caliber pistols. It is listed on their website

  • From Smith & Wesson's website:

Can I dry fire my S&W handgun?

Q: Can I dry fire my Smith & Wesson?

A: Yes, except for the .22 caliber pistols

Q: Why can't I dry fire my .22 pistol or revolver?

A: Dry firing a S&W .22 pistol or revolver will cause damage to the firing pin.

  • @tannerivy Yes it is, if you have your own firing range, like I do just collect your brass, and if you're lucky you might find a slug or two laying about, my cliff I use is hard and sometime slugs are laying everywhere, you find some that aint to beat up, grab em and if you got a buddy that has the dyes you can get him to make like new and put some filler in the shell and seat the slug but keep the spent primer in it for Christ sake, and you can use them for, chambering and failure drill, free1

  • @isamtator..i own this gun in .40 and have always wondered and never asked but isn't using an empty shell the same as a snap cap? ive just avoided dry fire but it would be nice to get this trigger down. either way, for the price and capacity, its an excellent pistol if you can get practice in.

  • As with most modern pistols you could dry fire it from sun rise to sun set with no problems

  • Wow, you should not feed into the top of the chamber. Could cause damage to the extractor.
