Beautiful montage.

My friend introduced it to me. She told me it was her "End of Summer, Beginning of Fall" song.

We were sitting with our cafe mochas in the Nordic Bakery just off Golden Square in Soho, London. We indulged in people watching as they passed by the big window in the wet blustery day outside. Our tummies warm with cocoa and caffeine and the smell of cinnamon rolls. She was right, that really captured the moment.

Bix had a haunting, poignant,unique style of composing music especially suited to the piano. The great tragedy of his short life is compounded by the loss to the music world of other compositions that would have been published, no doubt, had he lived a normal life span. We are grateful for what he has left us. Bernard Lhotzky's rendition of "Flashes" and Dick Hyman's of "In the Dark" would have pleased Bix.
