I'm sorry but I don't buy this bullshit about modern Western society emasculating men and whatnot. I'm 100% secure about my masculinity and pacifistic philosophies and feminism do not threaten me in the slightest. As Sun Tzu said, "To win without fighting is best". I am a FMA practitioner but there is nothing wrong with extolling the virtues of peaceful approaches and conflict resolution. However, an organization like the DB does fulfill a need for combat in people, and that's good.

Ugh.... I hate psychology. Self-righteous pricks.

this stuff about aggression what they talk about is true and realistic.

I dont get why the DG's use sticks at all if they just ignore all hits. Are'nt they supposed to represent bolo knives? EVERY DB fight goes like this: rush the opponent, ignore all strikes, drop your stick then ground and pound.

I know another accomplishment Cory Davis needs is to lose 40 Lbs.

Pretty cool, do yourself a favour and watch some Venda Boxing, or Nguni stick fighting, then you will see what real tradational stick fighting looks like. Awesome vids :)

Im a former student of Master Jann Blancia and he is a wonderful martial artist as well as his late father GM Angel Blancia and entire families are so awesome. I spoke his small sister GM Gloria Blancia and i understand her so much. Not all Filipinos are insulted just only those people are make stupid the Blancia Sytem. Im support with her thats all.
Their methodology is not bad. First let me ask if you have ever done any stick fighting with minimal protection? No? It hurts. It really hurts. It discourages sitting and exchanging blows much more than your typical fighters pimped out in the giant padded suit. After you take a couple wacks and have to deal with the pain you learn to protect yourself.
Yes the stick represents a blade, but you can't exactly test yourself with a blade and live to learn anything can you now?
