I do not own official rights to the scenes and mean no offense. I do own scenes in their full-DVD form Song by David Bowie. Scenes from "The Right Stuff" "October Sky" "Space Camp" "Discovery channel commercial 'I love the World'" "Contact" & "The Astronaut Farmer"

  • Well, the comercial one with the lincon is beter.

  • Are you kidding, that commercial totally butchered the song, it conveyed not a single meaning other than for commercial profit. The lincoln commercial made a mockery of this song.

  • @BloodMagex he is 'lost' in a way. He's decided that instead of completing his mission and comming home he's just going to hang out in space for awhile (what?) but yeah, in the other song he comes home.

  • @room28ministries the shiny toy guns song is a cover of the german song 'Major Tom' which is a tribute to the Bowie song. It's not supposed to be the same song.

  • @FromRussiaWithLuv007

ARE YOU KIDDING?!?! Agh! Their full cover [Shiny Toy Guns] is utterly amazing and conveys a modern understanding of space travel and the threats. Not to mention they do not arduously change the tempo and tenor of the song like the 1969-pre-GaGa-Bowie monster's pioneered song.

  • @RampageA whats it called?

  • @14openminds Looks like I'm a year late o.o. It seems to be about some astronaut who prepares to go to space. Everyone then seems to think "Major Tom" is lost although he isn't, as is told in the song Major Tom by Peter Schilling or Shiny Toy Gun.

  • @FromRussiaWithLuv007 Um, Lincoln doesn't make songs. >.>

  • prefer the version with cat powers

  • and sad.

  • This song is so amazing.

  • I'm curious if you even know what this song is about. You seem to have strong feelings towards it. Please, enlighten us as to where it came from and why it was written...
