28 years ago I used to cut through there to go to brashear for auto class. St mary's wouldn't spring for bus fare.

I never really went in those woods, I know people who walk back there as a shortcut to somewhere across Beechview I guess, but I went back there and smoked a few bowls before going to school once lol.

I used to play in the woods behind brashear high school (before the school was built) in the 60s. There used to be a farm there with a palimino (can't remember the name) and a pony. In 1st grade we took a field trip there.

I moved to Beechview about 4 years ago and I always see the 'Seldom Seen' signs on Crane near the High School. It never dawned on me that it connected with the trail down off 51 near Woodruff. I'd really like to walk the trail with friends but safety is a concern as it's quite set back. Do a lot of people use the trails?

Hey, nice video Dan....it makes me kind of want to check that place out on a summer day/evening. Additionally....liked how you copied some Cohen angles. ;-)
I never go back there unarmed, as it is a secluded part of the City. That said, I've only had one problem: an obviously mentally ill hobo living under the trestle who started throwing rocks at me from the top of the hillside because I was invading his territory. That was a few years ago. Most of the time I have the place to myself. The few people I have run in to have been very nice (aforementioned hobo excluded).
