Who needs another scented candle for x'mas?
The North American culture of buying useless gifts for the sake of buying in the X'mas season is not only creating environmental problems but also sending a message to kids that blindly spend the hard-earned money is encouraged.
Have a second thought when you're picking up that pair of socks or the scented candle for someone. Maybe spend the money on a charity on his/her behalf?!

  • Argh - what happened to the video! I was going to post a bulletin on my myspace page. This is the perfect time for it too!

  • hello there,

I know! My video wasn't viewable for a while, but I just checked and it's back on now. Should be ok. Thanks for the support!

  • I worked at a BEST BUY for a while and was at the front door to greet everyone on the day after Thanksgiving and at 4am people were already lined up around the building pushing on the people in the front so hard that noses and eyes were being smooshed against the glass, you could actually hear faint complaining from the folks getting squished. Fuck Consumerism. People are spoiled.

  • hey there, thanks for the message. it's encouraging to see someone agreeing with what I have to say. Please send this to everyone you know. my goal is to spread this message as much as possible. Please help me make this happen. Maybe one day people will finally wake up and spend money on meaningful things. take care.

  • Really great clip. My latest favorite.

  • I wish consumerism was taught in high school, I would of done alot of things differently.

Lol, I agree, that kinda got me off guard, like wth? Santa? You see Santa was trying to reward kids for good behavior, and I think that's an important part of discipline. So often, parents don't have enough time to spend with their kids that they give them gifts to make up for it. What they don't realize is that kids, especially younger ones, rather have the time rather than the material.

  • You are so right!

  • Really? It still shows as not available for me. :(

  • Nice one

the transition movement is growing, have faith.

  • that was good...except for the santa into satan part. that was a bit creepy.
