Mike Theiss captured some one of a kind rare and insane storm surge video from inside a hotel lobby in Gulfport Beach, Mississippi. Mike's invention the "Theiss-Device" was deployed during the height of the storm and captured walls breaking in, Furniture floating and basically the complete destruction of a hotel as it is gutted from Hurricane Katrina's historic 28 foot storm surge. This is just a sample of the video captured, too see the entire video and the complete documentation of Katrina's historic storm surge please purchase the DVD at http://www.BattleAtTheBeachfront.com

  • i am from the future

  • @DuBarryFilms How did he know hurricane Katrina was going to happen?? The weather forecast, perhaps?! (笑) I was in China, and I "knew" it was going to happen!

  • HOW did he know it was going to happen so he could film it?

  • Mike, that is sick! How do you get the GPS to transmit it's location out?

  • That video is SICK!!! And buy Mike's Katrina DVD if you don't have it, it's amazing!

  • The "Theiss-Device" video is awesome (in a creepy sort of way.) Imagine trying to swim with the debris during a storm surge before you get sucked under or crushed. The stuff of nightmares. I totally recommend the Katrina DVD that Mike sells on his website: Battle At The Beachfront. Wild footage!

  • Incredible footage... and such a unique perspective!!!

  • Hey Mike-wow! the surge and all the debris is horrifying but the 'audio" has such an "eeriness" about it-gave me goose bumps. I have been through many hurricanes, tropical storms, Blizzards, hail storms(see my videos), mesos, etc. Weather has always been my lifelong hobby.
