  • You guys don't get it. Americans are lazy. They don't care about electrics. they want their suv's. they are unhappy about the oil and countries financial health but that's it. GM is so full of crap about what they say they and what are going to do and will do nothing. Untill they figure a way to hook the consumer up to spend money on an electric car the way they do on a gas guzzler it's not happenin'.

  • Some of the best electric cars are in America, so I'm not sure it's fair to say that they don't care. Americans are clearly doing more than most when it comes to making electric cars

  • what was their excuse? How can their cop out be turned into a noose and wrapped around their collective necks? Phuc gov't sanction; who cares? Is that too much bravado?

  • Civil obedience is the one thing governments fear the most....I suppose they figure that if they give us ballgames, gladiators and MTV then in return they can do what they want to people.

You didn't express too much bravado, no. You were only expressing your opinion, the fact that you have come to question your own opinion just shows how repressed we have got used to being.

  • disobedience, is what the governments fear..... not obedience.

I'm with you about keeping the crowd busy with Paris Hilton and Britney spear so that you do not have time to protest! or even notice the real important issues!

Dumb them down is the elite's policy! Search for the Bilderberg group and you will add to your info about this subject!

  • Ah yes, you're right about it being disobedience !

I agree, everyone should look into what the worlds financial cartels are planning for. It's merely a shame they don't tell us about it first and we have to find out for ourselves, as if we haven't already got enough to do already, paying VAT and income tax

  • @PHILG64 How does that make Americans lazy?

  • If they continue push to you those gasoline cars, you must make them into bombs to bombing them for a stop to occurs. Just modify their gasoline cars to bomb them so they can't enjoy the money they are so obsessive about.

  • Generally, I agree... but the U.S. Government also shouldn't cut-off-at-the-knees technology that consumers want with corporate corruption ripe with self-interest.

Let there be no misunderstanding... GM spoiled this production because they were afraid of losing repair parts & maintenance revenues business. Likewise, allowing the Corporate Industrial Complex (get it?) to do whatever they please - no matter the consequences, is a sign of too much money in politicians pockets.

    Bye bye, GM.

  • just saying as a general statement i love my 67 firebird, but if all ppl are going to do is complain about gas and its price then go out and buya electric car and stop buying cars that run on gas and that comment is like 6 months old so my view has changed greatly

  • The government should never force anything.

  • No thanks, I'll stick with my 1979 Dodge pickup truck, because I know it works. I don't need an electric car that costs a years worth of pay in order to fix. Or something that takes years and years to work the bugs out.

  • Big oil and Car companies are PARTNERS in this huge scam. They need each other to stay afloat.

That's why they killed the independently produced EXAR-1 in the 80s. That's why they killed their own INFERIOR toy car called the EV-1. EV-1 was a SCAM to convince people GM was actually doing something.

With a $8 BILLION budget, all they made was this joke, and they killed it anyway.

EXAR-1 was developed with only $18 Million. And it was bigger, faster, and ran 200 miles on one charge.
