Yes I know and they form coalitions as well, but in a country when only 40 percent of the eligible voters usually vote during presidential elections and even lower during mid-terms I don't see it happening.

It is a sad time for me; this FISA bill was bad and then Obama cuts his campaign to ram the bailout up our behinds. I wound up voting for Chuck Barr, as being from Illinois it was pretty much a landslide for Obama, anyway. (No way McCain/Palin was going to win 2008 in Illinois.)

So you justify in third parties taking votes in Presidential races? well look at 1992 when Ross Perot took many votes from Bush Sr. and led Clinton to the White House. The U.S.A is built on a 2 party system since Hamilton and Jefferson and nothing will change that unless one party takes over another as a major party( Whigs to Republican).
