didn't anyone else find it strange that, while the regular Putty Patrol could put up a fight, Lord Zedd's "improved" versions could be dispatched simply by punching the giant *Z* on their chests?

Have u all noticed how the makers softened him up. When he first came on the show he was terrifying (his appearance, demonic music, snake, voice, etc.) but after his marriage to Rita he lost some of his 'evilness'. All of a sudden he was pushed around, did silly things like dancing and having fun. I guess he was too scary for many at the beginning. A shame though.
