This is an instrumental version of the Big Bill version of this standard tune - without the vocals. It's played in the key of C.

  • Let me find the tune and see if I can figure it out. I'll get back to you.

  • Yep, got bad allergies and broke my nose many times playing sports. I am working at controlling my breathing - getting better. Judging by your photo and comment, I'll take my breathing issue over yours.

  • Thanks! I'm glad someone is enjoying my lessons.

  • Ruckus Blues, did you notice that I have a lesson for this song? I forgot to mention that in my reply.

  • Thank you,

A clear and intelligent presentation of one of the finest acoustic Blues arrangements from one of the finest exponents of the genre: right on the button with the notes, too.

I have spent many an hour on this and Key to the Highway, somtimes thinking I had it, and then sometimes thinking I hadn't.

You're an absolute diamond for posting this and other lessons, sir!

    We lesser mortals thank you.

  • Thanks so much! I love Key To The Highway too. I'll see if I can post a lesson for that one soon. I'm working on Rev.Gary Davis' Hesitation Blues now - should have the first couple parts posted tomorrow. I'm swamped at work, but I'll do my best.

  • thanks for posting. great version. I'm about to check out your lesson.

  • Yes, I did, and I am busily commiting to them to tab for my own practicing purposes. Should anyone ask of me where I learnt such arrangement, I shall point them to your youtube page. In the next few week, and when the web page is up again, I should be happy to add links also. Thank you.
