I've got a Canon 450D... you can zoom 5x on the live view, and record from any 848x568 area of the CMOS @ 22 frames per second... with third party software and a computer though. I've got some decent Saturn pictures from this process, with Registax...
The video on your camera is much nicer than mine, 1024 sounds like a nice resolution. ;) Looks like a better fps as well. I'm jealous, hehe...

What lens was this shot with a Celestron 9.25? Can you explain? How did you use the scope with the PENTAX DSLR. I am think of getting this camera. It seems very good. You thoughts?

@ufmo The Celestron 9.25 is the lens used with the K-7 body using a True-2™
2" UltraWide Prime Focus Telescope Adapter for Pentax "K" SLR/DSLR Cameras from cncsupplyinc (dot com). BTW 1480mm = 2200mm 35mm eqiv with the K-7.

How far away was the C9.25? Is it a great scope for astronomy? Thank you.

About 150 ft away. Yes the C9.25 is a great scope for astronomy.
