@Djibriele Just saying Imam is a position held by men (pious men inshaAllah). She is a teacher of Islam as far as I understand - I have never heard that she is a female Imam. Perhaps you misunderstood?

@Djibriele Because it's not part of the religion of Islam. I'm a sister myself, and I know that men and women have different roles to fulfill. Equality in the sight of God is not being the same as the other gender, it is being worth as much as the other gender.

Nothing wrong with one calling themselves a sheikh or shaykha but an imam. don't know what you're following but my definition of an imam has nothing to do with what the sister is saying

l have never heard of this lady, but correct me if I'm wrong is she an imam at a mosque? How in the world is that possible.
