My friends 1.25 zetec with pipercross induction kit and peco back box with exhaust midbox removed.

csan anyone tell me why its a 1.25 litre instead of a 1.2 or 1.3 and why it has higher bhp than the 1.3 litre thanx

its 1.25 becuase it is, and its faster and has more bhp cus its 16 valve and the 1.3's are only 8 valve

@razejaba as h4rw00d said it's a 16 valve instead of an 8 valve, basically the more valves an engine has the better it can breathe (allow air in and out of the cylinders). This means there's less air pressure for the engine to have to fight against, therefore allowing the pistons to move more freely with less resistance, therefore more bhp.

and double overhead cam, you notice the difference in high revs, where the 1.25 starts to kick in a bit more the 1.3 starts to die out

@razejaba The 1.25 is tuned, whereas the 1.3 isn't. The 1.25 is 16v as already said, the 1.3 isn't. I honestly don't see the point in the 1.3...it's slower, less powerful and uses more fuel.
