Was this a full exhaust or just a supersprint Cat-back?

a lot of it had to do with BMW's confidence in the US market.
the e30 m3 was a commercial failure in the US, it was not meant for the type of people who normally buy bmw (ie, people seeking status) however, people pleaded for bmw to bring the M3 to the US, so they basically gave us the chassis with plastic headlights and the like, then gave us a bored out m50 motor with an aggressive cam and called it the s50.

the reason is because of our emission's laws here in the US at that time. The engine in the E36 M3 that came to the US was very different than yours... yours had individual throttle bodies, while ours did not, for starters.

there are really some difference betwenn eu and us!
so the m3 (e36) has in europe till 1995,286hp and than 321hp....in us,only 240hp!i am not sure but i think,the reason is the "bad" patrol in us?!?!

that's sweet! i also got a '96 328is sports package, but it has stock exhaust. if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for that superspirit thing?

This is a video of my friend's car, and I can't remember how much he paid. I want to say $250-400.
