In this video I am using iPhone 2G (8 GB) jailbreaked and unlocked using redsn0w and whited00r 4.4.1 installed.

I recently had this problem, push notifications from facebook, whatsapp, 2do were not working i tried downloading Push fix and i didn't worked, youtube worked fine but push notifications did not work, i tried reinstalling a thousand times but nothing seemed to work, then i found Push Doctor in a repo and i installed it, i was getting errors in installation, i reinstalled it a zillion times but no luck. i was getting certificate error and i checked their site there were about 7k certificates remaining but still i was getting error.

I found this fix and my notifications and youtube are working.

STEPS

1) RESTORE your iphone, unlock and jailbreak (optional)

2) If you dont want to restore then remove all apps which need push notifications. (go to settings/ notifications)

3) Open Cydia / manage/ edit and add "http://www.cmdshft.ipwn.me/apt/" and install Push Doctor from NERV Repo. (Make sure you download it from nrev repo, others won't work)

(repo: http://www.cmdshft.ipwn.me/apt/)

4) If installation finishes without errors, its good news.

5) After Installation REBOOT (strongly recommended)

6) Now install iPusher from app store (FREE)

7) Test your push notifications and after that test youtube.

8) DONE

I suggest that you check whether the certificates are there available or not, because if there are no certificates available its not gonna work. To check go to this link http://www.cmdshft.ipwn.me/blog/?p=481 and see on LEFT side.

And ONLY use NERV Repo (http://www.cmdshft.ipwn.me/apt/)

  • can i just close pusher because it s taking to long on PLEASE WAIT...

  • @sulross30 If pusher takes long and the button just gets dull. It means that push notifications are not enabled.

  • Whats the name of the source?

  • @MrFucker17 NERV repo (cmdshft.ipwn(dot)me/apt)

  • I always get an error when trying to add sources

  • @GamerPhobia24 don't lock your screen when adding sources, Locking your screen when adding sources mostly end up with errors.

Go to settings-->notifications and add iPusher to Notification Center to get the message from iPusher. After you add iPusher to notification center and get the successful message, just to make sure go to Settings>Messages and turn off your iMessage. Repeat the same process for FaceTime, now reboot your iPhone again and turn both iMessage and FaceTime on from Settings & it should work. Ignore when it says "Waiting for Activation". Just go to homepage and try it.

  • Like everyone else, I've been trying to implement the Push Doctor fix, which as far as I can tell is the only fix that actually works, but have been unable to obtain a certificate to successfully install it. I've been watching the cert counter for quite some time and as far as I can tell, Anathema has stopped providing them making this fix effectively useless for everyone that's left. I've tried the insanelyi repo and push doctor but that seems to generate errors repeatedly. Any ideas?

  • how do you know if there are certs becuase i always get 2 errors and i wanna know when certs are available
