Our ancient ancestors only ever used to run when vital to their existence, like when being chased by sabre tooth tigers or hunting woolly bullies. In modern times humans are no longer threatened in such ways yet there is still an instinctive need to flee what seems to be nothing at all. Modern day egg heads have determined that the appendix may secrete an enzyme which causes the opposite of adrenalin (when in fear) and creates natural endorphins to be released into the brain whenever vigorous movents of the legs occur. This is a time lapse video of people exercising their own entraped will and involuntarily running from Adelaide City to the bay.
Very cool video.
