Calls for reforms in national institutions dominated debate at the Kenya We Want conference with some delegates expressing their dissatisfaction with the coalition government following numerous scandals. Justice and constitutional affairs minister Martha Karua challenged the political class to stand up and take responsibility for their mistakes, including grand corruption. This came as a parallel meeting dubbed the Kenya We Do Not Want was held at Ufungamano house where civil society dismissed the KICC forum as cosmetic
