@Sheri451 Sorry for the question, I just looked down a bit and saw she passed away last year, Rest In Peace Trapp family. I sure wish I was old enough to have saw the real Trapp Family in concert. But I was born in 1963.

@ellandelachapelle I'm not sure why you blame Hollywood for this. The Sound of Music was a Broadway musical long before it was a movie. The musical came out in 1959. The movie followed the original Broadway musical almost exactly. Lindsay & Crouse wrote the play that the musical is based on, so I guess they'd be the ones who changed the story replacing Father Wasner, the one who really 'discovered' the von Trapps, with the 'Max' character that we know from the film.
