the statue isnt really a mystery anymore....its Tawaret, demoness goddess of fertlity and protector of childbirth.
The only mystery tied to that is why its in ruins and children cant be born on the island....i doubt very much its because this statue is in rubble, if it was that simple theyd rebuild it and solve all their birth problems!!!
