  • @funkywhite I can't find any with him playing traditional grip only match .He's good player though lots of clean groove .

  • @TheChiFlows You should check out Andy Fisenden and see how much better his playing got once he switched back to traditional...

  • Steve! I am laughing out loud! Awesome! Love it!

  • Love this shit ;-}> ~! .You guys really are funny .The truth is this ,many of the great match grip players do eventually relearn or switch to traditional grip when they get older & come to the realization that there playing is missing something . And that in itself says a hell of a whole lot about traditional grip & how drums kits & snare drums should really be played .

  • this NEVER gets old! a 2004 classic indeed!! love it!

  • @drummerkingmike Better be wachting from the beginning. You can definately get SERIOUS injuries from drumming. Just look at Phil Collings. Some say that he quit because of neuropathy of his hands. But the main reason is that he damaged his back seriously beacuse of his false playing position. Many pro's permanently need painkillers because their spines are killing them. But this is somehting nobody talks about, you know it's about jobs and reliabiltiy..... Greez

  • @EvolRogg No no, none yet, but I was just unaware of this danger so I figure i should just check Im not doing any unneccisary leaning, to prevent any injury in the future

  • @drummerkingmike Yeah, in the first couple of weeks I was very afraid that, in the worst case, I have to quit drumming. This would have broken my neck, without drumming, life makes no sense anymore... =)

You also had/have back injuries from drumming?

  • @EvolRogg Ah I see... I'll have to watch out and see if I'm leaning to the toms then! Good to hear its all sorted!!

  • @drummerkingmike No, I was sitting too far away from the toms. So I had to bend forward too much, that's why I got problems with my spinal disc. But hey, today it's okay and I can play both grips on my drum set without hurting myself! I'm happy!
