If u like music in the standard rock format, listen to the Stones.

The Stones r a better (the best?) "rock band." Phish's top album/songs could never come close to the Stones @ their peak. Phish'd be the 1st ones to admit it (this show was an homage).

Phish is a jam band - it's a different approach to music. Studio albums dont mean jack. The focus is ever-changing improv/experimental performance. If u like LIVE music, Phish is superior.

I love Phish, more than most people I know, and listen to them daily, but the Rolling Stones are the best rock n' roll band of all time. You would have to be very young or not well versed on rock history to claim otherwise.
