Post hole drilling saves a tremendous amount of time in building a fence. It also allows you to get depths that may be difficult with hand digging. We've found that the Dandy Digger with auger is incredibly fast and much more successful than a one- or two-man auger. These smaller machines usually do not have the weight and power sufficient to dig through clay or rocky soil. • Thanks for your question. In normal conditions, no - the tractor won't damage grass. We don't recommend using it if the sod is new or if the ground is saturated. It's best to let the ground dry out before using the equipment. The wide tires help to displace weight and correct usage of the equipment will have minimal impact on your yard. Obviously, it can't climb over bushes, trees, flowers, etc., so your landscaping may limit access to the machine.
