I'm using a class 4 8GB card. I convert to HD wmv using Xilisoft Video COnverter (though there are other programs) and then edit with Windows Movie Maker. I used Mindows Media Converter 9 to make a profile for Movie Maker that renders out a 2Mbs HD wmv file for upload to youtube. Fairly simple and low cost solution that produces good results.

If you don't mind me asking. What class is your memory card and What software do you use to edit?
I have this camera and am having problems with motion flicker. I was rendering it for wmv. My latest videos are rendered to sony avc in mp4 @ 1280x720 w/ a bit rate of 4,000,000. (this is better) I use sony vegas ms 9 pro platinum.
