Eric sends routes established by bouldering pioneer John Gill. These were done in the 50s and 60s at the South Jenny Lake Campground on the 'old road' (get the local bouldering guide!).

Shot with my Canon HV20, edited in Adobe Premiere elements 3, exported as 720p M2T and converted to MP4 using MPEG StreamClip.

  • My route went straight up the edge facing the camera. No sit start or moving over to the left at the beginning as is seen here. As for the second boulder - it doesn't look familiar except perhaps for no-hands problems. Is it what we called Mt Fonda? Who knows.
