My gym for one. In Saint Paul. You can boulder higher in the bouldering cave, but not in the rest of the gym on the 30 and 60ft walls. The route he is on looks like it is a wall climb to me, not a bouldering route. But that is just my opinion.

What gym doesn't let you boulder higher than your shoulder?
-
Most gyms have policies that if you are not in a cave with a padded floor, and you climb higher that a measureing point, say your shoulder, you need to be tied in.

that was amazing man! i'm a fan!

no he means it looks like a bouldering course, and u dnt usually have ropes for bouldering
-
Not rock climbing, gym climbing! and looks like a boulder dyno move, whats with the rope?
-
Weak Sauce!!! I've seen 10 year olds hit better dynos at the bouldering gym. Plus, if the route specifies that the arete' is on you can only use the ledge of the arete', not reach around and grab the back side of the wall.

Wow, all these whinging people. I'd like to see them try. NICE DYNO is what they meant to say.

LIKE OMG!!!WOWZERZ!!!
PFFTT
The rope is for safety, in case of a fall. I never realized how many people commented. I grabbed on the back to speed up what we were trying to do that day. If I were to do it from the start it would take forever, I'm not a pro climber. It was a recreation activity for the day.
