October 12, 2011 - Congressman Luis V. Gutierrez (IL-4) speaks on the House Floor about the horrific murders of labor leaders in Colombia and his opposition to the Colombia Free Trade Agreement. This follows a press conference earlier in the day and an article at the Huffington Post on Tuesday, "Colombia FTA: Blood Won't Easily Be Washed Away." I am so greatful for the leadership of Representative Gutierrez. He is one of the few who speak to the important moral issues of our day. We say "Never again." but when it occurrs again and again all over the world, we are mostly silent.

Have you been in Colombia ? You don't have the right to talk about one country that you don't know.

Thank you, Congressman, for this powerful statement. What's your position on the Korea and Panama Free Trade Agreements?
