BROOKLYN CENTER
Brooklyn Center is hosting a National Night Out Kickoff Party 6-8 p.m. tonight in Central Park. The party features entertainment for kids and adults with free gifts and prizes.
Brooklyn Center Police and firefighters will be there along with representatives from the FBI and U.S. Army.
Everyone who comes will receive a free hot dog, chips and a drink.
BROOKLYN PARK
In Brooklyn Park, a National Night Out Crime Prevention Workshop is scheduled from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight at the Police Department.
The workshop will focus on engaging diversity in your neighborhood and is free and open to the public.
Neighborhood block parties are planned throughout the city to celebrate National Night Out tomorrow night.
CRYSTAL
Crystal Night Out Open House is 5:30 to 7 p.m. tomorrow night at the Crystal Police Department, 4141 Douglas Drive North. The public can stop by for punch and cookies.
ROBBINSDALE
A Mini Masters golf tournament for children ages 4 through 7 who live in Robbinsdale, Crystal, Golden Valley or New Hope is 4-6:30 p.m. today at Bassett Creek Park, 6001 32nd Avenue North in Crystal. For more information call 763-531-5151.
GOLDEN VALLEY
A free concert of Tricia & The Toonies is 7 p.m. tonight at Brookview Park, Highway 55 and Winnetka Avenue North in Golden Valley.
ST. LOUIS PARK
The St. Louis Park City Council is set to consider agreements related to a new interchange at Highway 7 and Wooddale Avenue tonight at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 5005 Minnetonka Blvd. Specifically, the council will consider agreements with the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the Metropolitan Council and a consulting firm. Additionally, the council will consider a liquor license request for The Cooper, a business slated to open at 1607 Park Place Boulevard.
