this is my 55 gallon turtle tank, with one 5" red eared slider and a 1.5" baby RES in a seperated holding container that shares the water with the tank. There is also 3 koi ranging from 5-7", a 6" red belly pacu and two comet gold fish that were once tiny feeder fish for the turtle. the tank is filtered by an external canister filter that runs through an undergravel filter to handle the extra large bio load. the canopy is raised a foot above the tank, enclosed with plexiglass. this is done to make room for the turtle basking dock and also for the mangrove plants to grow in. I will be putting up a slate stone background for the section between the canopy and the tank, to make it look like a waterfall

  • you have to cut the male turtle´s nails.

  • @click2clip is that a question or a statement? If this is a question then the answer is no.

  • I bought it like that years ago, I assume another turtle snapped at it wherever they were bred. The turtle adjusted to it, perfers to use this paw to help itself get food into its mouth.

  • @m1ste2tea did one of your turtles break there nailson there right hand

  • @gceba2 nope, I bought it like that years ago, I assume another turtle snapped at it wherever they were bred.

  • nice tank, the pacu will get huge ,maybe like 3 to 5 feet

  • @TheCarvingman thank you, I realized the problem with the pacu, it was luckily sold to someone with a 260 gallon tank, a long time ago.
