NATO is not interested in a ceasefire in Libya as it craves regime change in the country, believes International Action Center activist Sara Flounders. Russia's foreign minister has criticized the way the UN resolution on Libya is being implemented, in the wake of NATO's 90-day extension of its mission there. Sergey Lavrov says NATO's actions go beyond the scope of the resolution and undermine international law.

That said, though, the quest to discern a corrupt invasion from humanitarian protection against harm can be difficult; I'm not sure which is the real story here. I'd be interested to know what international statute, issued by which governing body, can nullify sovereignty as you've said.
