The Losers Club (1993) Part 1

Sequel to the 1988 documentary, Sadobabies: Runaways in San Francisco. It follows a few of the kids from that movie 5 years later and shows how their life is. Marian Anderson from The Insaints speaks about; being in a band, drug addiction, not being able to raise her child, and working as a dominatrix. It also features video footage of the Insaints. Marian sadly passed away of a drug overdose in 2001.

@Gmancrap The book "Gimme Something Better", which chronicles the history SF punk scene has a section on the Polytech squat which gives a little bit of information but not too much, the book is worth buying either way. There is also a new documentary about Marian's life called "Last Fast Ride" which you should check out as well.

yeah, the people in this movie are a segment of the SF Rancid grew up in. Marian's band played a lot of shows with rancid in the early 90's.

Guess thats why I never did well in AA/NA. The God concept and powerless. I never got any clean time at all until I found rational recovery. But being an addict that just dont use I gotta say anyway you can get and stay clean,its good.

amazing people. I want to go to school but damn I dont want to support paying for knowlege I really dont, not when I could get a bunch of old books and study, or read encyclopeadias and crud. Not when there's the internet either. Free knowlege, open system. I dont want to waste money on a degree that cant even guarantee me a job, man. I want to get into Art. But whos gonna hire me with a masters in fine arts or design or whatever? Anyway, I guess that makes me a loser. Corrupt system.

Marian was one of my closest friends growing up, I respected and looked up to her so much RIP Marian
