a Tick-Tock Brooch - one of my Moving Movement pieces. Of course it took 20 takes to get this video right so I hope you'll forgive me if I sound pretty tired. :D

This brooch was a movement that I rebuilt. I had to take it apart to clean off some of the rust and to replace one gear. Then there was the challenge of getting it running - "Finger Powered!". I bought 4 of these movements - and so eventually I may produce another brooch when this one sells. (One is being salvaged for parts).

In this little video - I refer to "wheels" - which most people think of as gears. I thought it might be less confusing so at one point I call it a gear. The movement itself is brass and steel.

I believe it was made around 1967. It doesn't take much to get this brooch running. I think you can even hear it ticking. I'll be listing it on my steampunk jewelry site: www.ClockworkZero.etsy.com soon.
