I rediscovered Quo in '75 when their backlog of LPs hit the cut-out racks. I had no idea they had done anything beyond the "Matchstick Men" days. I also had no idea they were hugely popular in Europe, but viewed as dinosaurs by the rock press there.
So it's '76, this comes out, and no one in the States knows, because the hipster press is going nuts over the Ramones and punk.
As far as I can hear, the Quo beat the Ramones to the punch.with their Piledriver LP in '72.
