Again what were the reasons given for war? They flipped flopped. WMD, Cruel Dictator, Al-Qaida (unbelievable) they lied, gave story after story.

Saddam was a dictator that slaughtered his own people and invaded other countries. He was bluffing and not providing full assistance to the IAEA which was demanded by the United Nations. We invaded because we thought he had WMD< we were wrong, however a dictator was removed and that invasion led to another country Libya giving up its nuclear program and improving relations with the west

Iraq is now a democracy and the different religious groups are less oppressed than they were under saddam

As to why they wanted violence. It is simple. It is better that they fight among each other than they all unite to kick out the USA like they did with the British before them. Also they needed an excuse to stay and build their temporary (permanent) billion dollar bases.

I mean why did we go to war with Iraq and when it was clear that the inconsistent excuses were all lies?

There is no propaganda when the fact is they actually split up the government and ballots according to ethnicity/sect. Why?

At first there was peace after USA occupied it. Then they began passing inane laws, Bremer Edicts, breaking into people homes one by one, giving out cash for snitching without checking, splitting up the government according ethnicity/sect (never existed b4) etc..

Dangerous propaganda, There is no doubt divide and conquer works well although i do not see how its in the interests of the United States for violence and sectarian conflict to continue. Americans want their troops out but that isnt possible when violence continues, although it is radically down from a couple of years ago.
