You Are Mine (A Jacob and Renesmee Story) Chapter Six

**Renesmee's POV**

The motion was to fast for me to follow, but suddenly I was in Jacob's arms. He rushed up the stairs, took me to the corner of the hall we had just been in, then set me down and slid into a protective crouch in front of me. His hands were shaking and the expression on his face was murderous.

"Jake. Jacob, please? Please calm down. You're scaring me." I reached out to pat his shoulder. He seemed to relax a bit at my touch.

"Geez everyone. Chill out," I heard Kyle scoff from below, "Kassy isn't gonna hurt her."

The door opened; Kassy was letting herself in. My mother snarled.

"Umm....Hi. My name is Kassy and...."

"No need for intruductions. I want you out of our house right now!" My father exploded.

"Edward, let's not be rude to our guests." Carlisle cautioned.

"NO! I want that crazed newborn away from my daughter NOW! You will not hurt her!" He yelled.

"Oh I know all about her. That's why I just went to hunt. I'll stay away from her though." Kassy stated.

"Darn right you will." Jacob muttered.

"I can see our time of visiting has expired," the older man--Micheal--muttered formally. "I'm so sorry and regretful that we seem like a threat to your family. Our home is only a few miles up in Canada. Please, come visit us soon."

I heard the woosh of air as the family flew out the door. Jacob sighed.

"Micheal, Matiana, wait!" Esme called desperately. I don't know if they paused to listen but she continued anyway, "Since you are friends of Eleazer, who is family to us, you will also be treated as friends. We are only concerned for the safety of our dear Renesmee. But please, do not think you are unwelcome here."

"I think they're unwelcome," Jacob mumbled under his breath.

I saw my mother fly up the stairs. She moved behind Jacob and pulled me into a hug.

"You're safe honey, you're safe. The newborn will not get near you. No one will hurt you, you're safe." She murmered, it seemed like she was trying to reasure herself more than me.

And I wasn't safe. Only I knew the truth. I was in love......


With the wrong person.
