The present is the same as that time. Check out the video, 'Police pepper spraying and arresting students at UC Davis'.

@tolivr My Lai Massacre some heros raping 12 year old vietnamese girls

@mickycisme My father fought in Vietnam from January, 1969 to November, 1969 flying over 120 combat missions. And yes, the real heroes are those who fought, like your dad, not the pampered, selfish, pretentious idiots who practically destroyed Columbia University in 1968. I invite you to review exactly what effect their protests had on the University and how many years it took the college to recover. Some of the protesters later helped form the Weathermen, a terrorist organization.

@TheLordofcod re: "shown only 3 times in greece because in 70s we had dictatorism"
... yet now in these very comments people are saying that it shouldn't be watched in America because its message doesn't fit the direction America is heading. Which sadly says a lot more about America than they presumably intend.
We in the US have no need for dictators, censors, or propagandists... as a democracy (an idea from the Greeks, ironically) we already have citizens who do all of their work for them.
Another great movie that seems to be lost. There were a few years in the late 60's and 70's that Hollywood really made some daring and provocative movies. Now I can't find this quirky and joyous film anywhere. Instead, we get shit like "High School Musical 3--The EXTENDED Edition" plastered on almost every shelf in every store you go to.

In 1971 in Uruguay we could not believe that what the movie showed was actually happening in the USA. The film was a great success here and our reality was very close to what we saw in the picture. Anyway, give peace a chance
