The U.S. Border Patrol turns away 100,000 unaccompanied immigrant
children every year. This is the story of three who stayed. Las Posadas is
a Mexican tradition that retells the Christmas story of Joseph and Mary's
search for shelter. In Posada, the journeys of Densi, Johnny and Wilber
unfold in a dramatic pilgrimage as teenagers from their homes in Central
America for the United States.
Each one was detained by immigration officials for several months between
1999 and 2002. Their heroic stories helped lay the foundation for future
immigrants in need of assistance.
Since 2000, between 80,000-110,000 children have been arrested and turned
away by the U.S. each year. The number of children detained annually by the
U.S. has risen to over 7,700 in 2005.

  • This is not only your country Avatarblackwolf, this is the home of all the immigrants. Your ancestors immigrated to this country. You need to read your history book a little bit more closer. If you didnt already know the Native Americans were here first and your ancestors murdered them so that you could call this your so called land

  • Americans brought over Latin Immigrants in the Bracero Program which I assumed you have no knowledge of, it was a program to bring over immigrants legally during time of WWII in 1942 to work in America while the soldiers were gone at war only later to deport them back into Mexico after they were done with them. So America actually started immigration.

  • I ont feel bad for them...fix your own country.

keep coming to America by the millions illegaly...and our country will be like thiers.

6 billion ppl in the world..and we can not fit them all in America.

  • Wow, that's sad. It hits me. I feel for those people who are truly just trying to seek shelter.

    Peace & God bless.

    Sandy
