This soundboard idea is fantastic & something I never would have thought of. My question would be, where do you get the sounds that you are playing on this system? Ahh, the video already answered my question if I would have waited long enough, lol. That's a great layout & system you've got there my friend. Thanks for sharing the videos.

This system shakes the house, you'd think there was an actual train down stairs!

Glad to see you got a HD video up. I look forward to seeing your layout in this format. You have a very interesting audio setup. I hadn't even thought about using a 9 channel rack mixer to add train sounds. This blows away most peoples setup.

It's been awhile since I put up these vid's, I thought I mentioned that in my vid's. Years ago, I used to make VHS tapes of trains and I gleened the various sounds from them---time consuming but worth the effort. Most of the loco. sounds are from cassettes that a fellow was selling, unfortunately he's since passed away and he's son, a model rail. didn't pick up the ball. Our loss.

Well, yes but you don't want dust all over the place. Occasionally I'll use my central vacuum to clean up the layout. TIP: I have a muffin fan mounted just above the tallest car on the layout, in the tunnel. While the trains are running the main, the fan dusts off the cars that travel under it.

I almost fell over when you mentioned that I finally got it right. I had given up, now I'll try a little harder. I found no help at the U-tube site or the book that comes with the software. You did mention that I should use 720p which I did but to no avail. I also lost all my recordings that I had made prior to this one. I'm reasoning tha my failure to lock the SD card resulted in the loss when I played it back on my BR player. Of course I didn't know this until I pulled up the play list.
